More pictures of these and other customs can also be seen on my facebook page EOAScustoms as well...
Budo
Based mostly on the original 1988 Budo, this custom was done in the 25th Ann. G.I.Joe articulation as a commission piece. He features Hand sculpted hair with removable helmet taken from the original '88 Budo, an opening backpack with two swords, as well as a custom mounted sword on a pivot point at the left hip for a right hand draw. I will be adding more images of this figure from different angles as I go, but in the interest of setting up this site I will be leaving it with the straight on view for the moment.
Female Doc
Based on the 2007 convention exclusive Female Doc, this is another commission piece done for a customer. This figure was done with parts from the 25th Ann. as well as Rise of Cobra toy lines, and features a custom headsculpt from Slayer Design Studios, Medic shoulder bag, removable belt, pistol, and a stretcher with a soft goods cover sheet. Further pics of this figure will as well be available soon.
Footloose
Another commission piece, this Footloose, based on the 1985 Hasbro figure was done in the 25th Ann. style articulation and features a custom headsculpt from Slayer Design Studios, a removable backpack, custom removable harness, custom sculpted removable helmet, a bazooka and an M16 with a removable magazine from Marauders gun runners (spelled one word .com for those interested...) This was one of my favorite figures to do. This as well as my female Doc figure mark my start into the world of painting my own eyes, as well as fine detail work such as matching the patch on his left bicep to that of the original figure. Also, hand sculpting the leaves on the helmet was a first for me here, as well as the cammo paint job.
Frostbite
This Frostbite figure, based on the 1985 Hasbro retail figure is complete for the most part, but at the time of this photo is still missing a few details that the customer this commission is for has asked me to include, such as the goggles and the blue patch for the "Snow Cat" on his right arm. As he stands, he features a hand sculpted removable fir hat (which I intend to make sit lower on the head before shipping), and hand sculpted fir around the shoulder area, a removable pistol w/bandolier, an M4 Carbine with removable scope, magazine, and silencer from Maruaders Gun Runners, removable snow shoes, and a custom head sculpt from Slayer Design Studios.
Crazylegs
This Crazylegs figure is another commission piece based on the 1987 classic done in the 25th Ann. articulation. This was another one that I really enjoyed doing. He features orginal accurate grenades and knife on his chest under the removable parachute harness, removable helmet, and a compact machine gun with removable scope and magazine from Marauders Gun Runners. The parachute harness was fun to make. It was made by removing the front pouch from an RoC Snow Serpent and smoothing the belt, and then attaching it to the parachute pack removed from the original Crazyleg's cheesey harness. I then painted the whole thing to match and added the buckle details.
Lt. Torpedo
This Lt. Torpedo figure is a comission piece based on a photo sent to me by a customer. I believe the original piece this cutom was based on was done by "Cobracollector" of the Hisstank forums, with the addition of the white belt and different guns, as well as the fact that I work mostly with low glare flat or satin colors and the original was done in a VERY high gloss. Not much to say about this one other than he features a removable breathing mask and tube, as well as a back pack containing two removable air tanks, a spear gun, and a sub-machine gun with a removable scope and magazine from Marauders Gun Runners.
Nightwatch female COBRA Viper
This female viper is another customer commission loosly based on a custom of "Cobracollector" from the Hisstank forum. Not shown it this pick is the yet to be added breast knife. As she stands she features removable goggles, a removable pack, a sub-machine gun, and a leashed dog. This figure was the first time I had to shorten a neck post in order to properly seat a head on it. The Covergirl upper torso I used here had a very high kneck, so I had to cut off the ball, sand down the neck, and reattach the ball, before mounting the head to the ball.
Dessert Ops. City Strike Snake Eyes
Being both a collector of Arashikage Clan G.I.Joe figures and a HUGE fan of this particular mold of Snake Eyes, I decided to do this Desert Ops. repaint of him for both the practice (Practice makes perfect) in detail work and fine edge painting, as well as to add some color to my mostly black and white collection (save for Kamakura, Jinx, and Hardmaster) of Arashikage members.
